It is important to keep your lungs healthy after surgery; therefore breathing exercises are very important. Deep exercises keep one's lungs active and prevent lung problems such as pneumonia.

Therefore, not doing deep breathing exercises can put people into risk especially after major or minor surgery. Deep exercises help to regain normal breathing by pushing the air in and out.
