Fatigue, weight loss and muscle loss are the other symptoms. Treatment of COPD consist of lifestyle changes and medical management. It includes quitting smoking, refrain from dust and other air pollutants (chemical fumes, passive smoking etc) which irritates your lung. Medical treatment includes corticosteroids and bronchodilators in the form of inhalers and oral medications. Oxygen therapy is other option to improve the breathing difficulty and surgeries to remove the damaged lung tissues and some times lung transplant may be carried out in severe cases.
