1) Epinephrine:
Intramuscular epinephrine is recommended as an important treatment in all anaphylaxis treatment guidelines. The data obtained from a study of both adults and children shows that peak plasma epinephrine level reached more quickly with IM administration than SC. But in case of children subcutaneous should higher plasma levels than IM. 2) Amioderone:
There is evidence that beta blockers reduce sudden death after MI, so it is tempting to attribute prophylactic benefits of amioderone against sudden death to its antiadrenergic effects. The studies conducted regarding this has shown that this is unlikely because amioderone interact positively with beta blockers in post MI Patients.
3) Lidocaine is a better option in the prevention and treatment of acute hyperalgesia. The studies confirmed the benefits of perioperative IV lidocaine infusiion have been confirmed with good quality evidence. The study have also attested the safety of lidocaine infusion for postoperative pain, provided a well established protocol is followed.
4) Dopamine: dopamine and its inhibitory action control has been studied. The evidence from spontaneous eye blink rate is reported. Study has shown that in healthy people spontaneous blink rate predicts the efficiency in inhibiting action tendencies. Study also screened several paychiatric disorders that are associated with dopaminergic abnormalities.
