What characteristics would lead a provider to suspect domestic violence, child abuse, or elder abuse is taking place within a family? Discuss your facility's procedure for reporting these types of abuse.

A big issue in health care now, is how to identify an individual who is a victim of human trafficketing. Does your facility or agency provide training in this?   Do you have a protocol to follow if you identify a victim of this?

The characteristic features which indicates that the patient is facing domestic violence are :-

- injury marks on the body parts

- depression

- isolation

- malnutrition

- patient have fear to talk

- patient is not looked after by the relative , suffering from disease condition

Our facility's procedure for reporting of these types of issues is that the physician or the staff nurse if suspects abuse ,then they inform about the same to the higher medical authorities who deal with cases of abuse and the patient is shifted to a nursing home where his or her safety and proper care is provided according to the signs and symtoms and also rehabilitative care is provided to them to come out of the depression ,loneliness they have .

No, our facility does not provide training of human trafficking. Many meetings and session are in the process to implement this training but right now our facility does not have any protocol ,and does not provide training of human trafficking.
