To create a culture of using EBP is a tedious work when the traditional standards are routed in a particular health care system. The following are the different ways to create EBP culture;
- A research team or EBP team of members with a team leader can work together for the same. The team has to identity the potential area of interest as well as situations to inculcate the practice. The team should inculde representatives fron all health care team. They can also identify the problems related in implementing the EBP.
- Once the change practice is intiated, clinical supervision is very much needed to assess the practice. The expertise and practice knowledge is important for the members of the EBP team.
-The nurse, who is a member of EBP team can initiate the change, can demonstrate and teach the change of practice to other hospital staff.
- Improvements in the wardenvironment can be done if needed. Eg. Any change in flooring, improvised infection control measures.
- Enforcement of personnel management policy will help to develop a research culture in the organisation. Eg. In performannce appraisal, the participation and competance in EBP can be one among the quality indicator or evaluation criteria.
