HEALTH : Health is defined as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well being and merely an absence of a disease or infirmity.

Poverty may be associated with many factors of individual health and wellness behaviors.Poverty is not only associated with money but also related to poor housing, low nutritional diet, improper environmental sanitation, family sizes, unemployment, uneducated, health conditions, higher diseased rates and many more. One of the major drawback for poverty is unavailability of nutritious diet for the people either individuals, families, and communities. Every year hundreds of children are dying because of inadequate nutrition and lack of available resources due to their low poverty states. The effects on the individual includes person suffer from a state of malnutrition, or other nutrition related deficiencies which makes that person to get starved and undergo for severe health illness and even die because of the nutrition deficits.

Along with the diet housing, livelihood, environmental factors and more the poverty level effects on health status of family members. Due to the low economic level in the family, the family cannot afford for the high nutritious diet or expenses on medications of higher cost. The family decides not to go for the higher expenditure of medicines and food as they want to save their little income for any further uses of children that creates a great effect on family health. At a time all the members of the family gets diseased and due to their poverty they are not affording the medical expenses and thus the mortality and morbidity rates will increase.

Insufficient resources in the community due to poverty may raise a poor environmental sanitation which increases the risks of exposing to diseases very often. If the drainage system present in the community level is not clean it definitely creates a nuisance int he environment thus rise the breeding of mosquitoes and houseflies at that areas and effects on health of people in the form of malaria, cholera, etc.
