Ans) Teens not have the coping skills that teens had years ago is because of qualities such as too much expection, inability to taken sensible decisions, lifestyle, stress.

Teens should be taught positive coping strategies:

-Primary control strategies: taking steps to change the source of stress (usually the best strategy). AKA problem-focused strategies such as changing the situation.

-Secondary control strategies: trying to adapt to the problem (better when situation is uncontrollable). AKA emotion-focused strategies like changing outlook on situation (glass is half-full) OR changing reaction to situation like taking deep breaths, remaining calm.
