Experience while interviewing people

- some people are very co-operative, they will speak to you very freely and give all information

- Some are reserved and will only answer yes no which will be difficult to gather information in detail

- some are happy to see that some one is enquiring about them, while some get irritated to share such information.

1) Active lisening- Giving open ended questions and listening activrly, rather than speaking in between will help to gather more information

2) Obsevation- This is a good tactile for poor verbal and non verbal communication skills.

3) Enthusiasm- This can actually be as simple as maintaining eye contact, and modifying your body language to appear attentive and interested.

4) smile- best tools or weapon

5) encourage further thought- questions which will help people to think deeply.

6) Clarify the point- questions to clarify point to reduce misunderstanding.

1) Taking notes while patient is taking with you, will restrict the patient from sharing more information as eye contact is not maintained and patient may feel neglected.

2) Language barrier

3) inability to get proper feedback- should be able to convey information in such a way that your targets offer feedback or criticism on your information

4) Inappropriate stress management- communication can be stressful if your skills are not uptodate.

how to overcome.

1) Taking notes- Let the person finish his/ her talk then it can be transfered to paper.

2) If language is a problem using more non verbal skills and active listening or help from a person with same language can overcome this.

3) practice giving and receiving feedback by trying to convey some form of information to partner.

4) If you find yourself overly stressed by a situation, remove yourself from it for a few moments.
