Institutional ethical committee regulates the clinical trials, research activities and protects the rights of human subjects being involved in the research experiments for the testing of the any drug or setting the any research protocols. It is highly recommended to get approval from this prior to start the research activities, as per the biomedical ethical principles. The major aim of these committees is to set the distinction between Right & Wrong as per the morals/duties as well as per the obligations. It covers the hospital activities also to regularize the healthcare activities as per the biomedical ethical standards. Hence periodic reviews are done to achieve the minimal or nil risks in the general healthcare activities and associated research.
