Strategies to help to relax and focus before starting a work day:

There are many strategies that can help a person to start his day freshly and actively so that he can relax and focus on the work. These strategies are not a waste of time instead they serve as a source of energy and refreshment for the work. Some strategies are following:

1. Meditation / Exercise

Start the day with a session of Meditation or exercise. Exercise will help largely a person to be active throughout the day. Some prefer meditation/ prayer during the first minutes or first half an hour of day. It will help you to focus and concentrate in the life goals and minimises the distractions of life.

2. Healthy breakfast and family time

Having a healthy breakfast and spending some time with your family members ( spouse and children) or a close friend or relative will make you feel happier. A healthy breakfast will supply the calory needs of a person during the beginning hours of the work. Concentration in work depends largely on energy level. Breakfast is essential for a productive day.

3. Start the work with a planning session

First ten minutes, after reaching the office or before starting the work, utilize for planning session. It should involve writing down the 'to do' list and prioritize it. Before checking the emails one can prepare their mind for the day by doing so. It will help them to be focused in their work throughout the day. Inbetween and at the end of the day he can check the diary ( to do list) for knowing the status and mark the completed tasks.

4. Other tips for a relaxed and focused work day include : arrive on time in the office, be happy and keep a smile on your face, organise the work place neatly and minimise digatal distractions like unnecessary chatting and calls or videos.
