1. Calculate calories from proteins:

Each gram of protein contains four calories.

Here, the total proteins = 85.51 g

Calorie from protein = 85.51 X 4

= 342.04

2. Percentage of total calories from protein

Total calories = 1154

Calorie from protein =342.04

Percentage of total calorie from protein = 342.04 X100 / 1154

= 29.63%

3. According to ADMR, the adults should take at least 10 -35% of calories from protein. RDA recommended 0.8g of proteins per kg weight.

4. Animal proteins: Egg, chicken, pork

Vegetable proteins: Spinach, cauliflower, cucumber, bread.

5. Specific diet changes for a Vegan:

Vegan must meet all the essential amino acids. They should include more amount of soya, nuts, legumes, beans, whole grains, cereals, etc.
