DASH stands for dietary approaches to stop hypertension

DASH diet is prescribed to prevent or control hypertension.

DASH diet emphasise on consuming diet low in sodium content and high in foods that help in lowering blood pressure like calcium, potassium and magnesium.

According to DASH diet one should limit sodium consumption to 2300mg per day.

According to the diet record food with sodium content are : chicken filled, feta cheese, eggs, gluten free bread, butter.

The sodium intake according to diet record is 1300 mg per day which is less than DASH diet recommended sodium consumption range.
