Answer :

Continuous quality improvement in health care :

It is a process of performance and quality improvement process in health care by identifying the problems and implementing the interventions and monitoring the corrective actions and evaluate the effectivemess for outcomes, whether desired outcomes met or not along with continuous improvement.

Continuous quality improvement importance :

* to improve health of the population.

* to improving the patient experiences and health care outcomes.

* to reduce the per capita cost of care ,

* and also improve the providers experience in health care activities.

PDCA model :

Through this model as a health care member can plan the activities or interventions to provide to the population or clients.

Them implement those activities according to the needs of the clients.

Then check by the quality improvement committee, whether those needs met or not.

Act means after doing quality analysis they will replan the activities if not met those.

As a public health nurse improve the health of the clients :

For example : smoking cessation

* first as a nurse we need to identify the people who want education regarding cessation of smoking.

* select the group in which area they need.

* plan the activities or interventions to that problem.

* like effects of the smoking, if you smoke you will get lung problems like cancer, tuberculosis etc.

* as a public health nurse conduct the health education program on prevention of tuberculosis and cancer.

* show the small vedio clippings on real cases who are suffering with those diseases due to smoking.

* educate the advantages, by avoiding smoking.

* like this we need to educate regarding cessation of smoking.

Partners are necessary to give this education in public like panchayat members, ASHAS, ANMS ect.

* because those people are nearer to the public, so when we are conducting program their support is necessary to gather all people in community to educate them in concert way.
