I need to know a couple examples of two benefits or advantages to having a diverse and inclusive workforce environment and how each improves patient experience and outcomes.  

Then I need an example of a situation where you might encounter in your role as a allied healthcare provider where it would be necessary to exhibit and display diversity awareness skills and knowledge to resolve the situation that is beneficially for everyone involved. the situation can be between you and a patient or a coworker. Make sure you discuss why diversity awareness skills and knowledge would be necessary to resolve the situation.

Advantages of diverse workforce environment:

1. Build a quality health care team: Professionals from various culture and diverse groups working together promote optimum care to the patients in all aspects and increases the possible health outcomes.

2. Improve healthcare culture: Mingling with People from different aspects of culture improves the bond between the health workers and thereby improve the working environment.

Allied Health workers play a part in the health care team. They participate in health promotion and prevention activities. So the allied health workers also need to get training and knowledge of diverse cultural groups and to provide competent care. When an allied health worker participates in the palliative care of old Latino patient who is at the end of life. Allied health care provides the continuity of care to Latino patients. Understanding the Latino's culture and religious practices helps her to maintain effective communication with the patient and the family members and to reduce the burden of stress at the end of life. Cultural awareness is essential to meet the spiritual care of the patient and considering the religious practices of patients while giving care to patients. Awareness of diverse skills is beneficial for the interprofessional team to attain the goal of patients.
