A Nutritional assessment tool is a tool used to assess the nutritional status of a patient . One of the dietary assessment tool is Short Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire ( SNAQ) .The purpose of the tools is to identify patients at risk for malnutrition . It is of two types :-

- SNAQ - RC = for older adults in care homes and residential settings

- SNAQ-65 = for people who are more than 65years of age

Yes , I believe that the purpose of this tool is fulfilled because the questions are based upon nutrition and it's other important factors which are asked to the population in a simple questions forms and four options are provided to them ,people have to mark the option according to their perspectives and experiences they have.

Yes ,the tool is easy to use as it contains few questions related to nutrition and the patients have to respond it according to their perspectives and with their own experiences . The tool provides sufficient data related to the nutritional status of an individual and it helps to work on the drawbacks , about the measures to be taken for further improvement so that interventions can be made to help the patient to be healthy and fit .
