One of the example, that the ICD 10 should track on public health concern on Zika virus. Zika virus is an illness that breakout worldwide. It is transmitted through Aedes aegypti mosquito. ICD-10 should concentrate more on the coding of Zika virus. In ICD-9 coders should report as 066.3. In ICD 10 code should be placed as A.92.8 for zika virus. In ICD 10 expandability this should have more specific description because more viral fevers have mosquito related illness. The coding system should be stratified based on risks and public health. It supports public health data to track on zika virus on geographical locations and allowed WHO and CDC to locate such information.
