Answer: Fee for service is payment method used by HMOs to pay specialist means in this method of payment the patient can choose any doctor, healthcare professionals of any hospital or healthcare organisations. The patient needs to pay the bills to them directly and then patient has to provide all the documents and paperwork to the insurer that will be reimbursed for that much amount. It is one of the expensive method and now it is becoming uncommon. Here the specialist gets payment directly from the patient and afterwards patient get its reimbursement.
