ANSWER.

* Calculation of flow rate in ml/hr.

        Formula

           Flow rate = Volume(ml) / Time(hr)

        Calculation of volume(ml)

              Formula = Desired dose (D) / Dose in hand (H) * Quantity(Q).

               Here

                 Desired dose(D) = 400 mg/hr.

                 Dose in hand (H) = 4g.

Convert g value to mg for calculation

                      1 g = 1000 mg.

              So

                  Dose in hand (H) = 4000 mg.

                      Quantity (Q) = 500 ml.

As per above formula for calculation of volume

               Volume(ml) = D/H * Q

                                   = 400 / 4000 * 500

                                   = 0.1 * 500

                                   = 50 ml

             Time (hr) = 1 hr.

             Flow rate (ml/hr) = 50 ml/hr.
