domestic violence?
2- How would the need for intervention increase for someone
experiencing several potential crisis situations at one time?
Nurse role in preventing the victim of domestic violence:
Domestic violence is the act of physically, sexually, mentally and verbally torturing someone. The domestic abuse was the violence by the husband in laws or boyfriend. The workplace violence includes the violence between workers. Most of the time the nurse is the first person who come to know about the violence the individual has faced. Sometimes, the victims try to hide the abuse and may not tell about the abuse in detail. The nurses play important role in preventing the domestic violence. If the vulnerable individuals will be identified earlier, it will be easier to bring change in the attitude. The nurses should feel the emotional pain of the patient because without understanding the situation, the nurse might feel that the individual is lying.
The efforts that can be made to prevent the violence are promoting a respectful and healthy relationship. Addressing the attitudes, messages and beliefs are important because they allow sexual violence intimate partner violence and stalking. The health care professionals are properly trained and should be available. There is a comprehensive violence prevention program, which deals with the prevention of the violence. A healthy dating relationship may also create a strong base and will help in preventing the violence between the intimate partners. Good parenting skills also help in preventing the child abuse. The leadership skills in the workplace may prevent the lateral or the horizontal abuse.
