Arthur is a sedentary 40-year-old man who has been gradually gaining weight for the last 10 years. He recently saw his doctor for a routine physical. His current body weight and height are 250lbs and 5’9”. His body mass index is 37kg·-2. His doctor performed a maximal cardiopulmonary stress test and obtained the following results: VO2max of 30ml·min-1· kg-1, maximal HR of 170bpm, resting HR of 90bpm, normal ECG response to exercise, and no signs of symptoms of heart disease. His doctor advised him to begin a weight loss program with an initial loss of 50lbs, and he referred him to you to begin an exercise program.

Arthur’s goal weight is 200lbs. He issued very anxious to lose weight and states that he wants to reach his goal as soon as possible because he wants to look amazing at his daughter's upcoming wedding.

1. Arthur should focus on the component of weight reduction physical fitness. Because the weight of the person is gradually increasing and he wants to become fit for his daughters upcoming wedding as the weight of the person is 250lbs.

2. According to the weight of Arthur he should start the initial stages of mild exercises such as walking, cardio exercises, tredmill exercises, skipping, to loose the weight.
