The traditional hospital gown is still followed in most of the organization because it is functional and easy to do a physical examination for the patient. It is low cost and easy to carry and maintain. But most of the patient's feel that the hospital gown makes vulnerable and open type makes them horrible and irritating. It interferes with the well-being and recovery of the patient. It increases negative feelings on the patients. Studies show that the patient is forced to wear a gown even it is not a medical necessity and it affects self-esteem and self-respect of the patient. Clevland's clinic redesigned an alternative to the hospital gown with a deep V neck in the front and back and full cover-up of lower extremities. Duffy designed a model which wraps the patient and able to tie up in the front. At the back, the gown can be split for easy access to the examination.
