Philosophers have spent centuries arguing over the existence and the form of human nature. Now, it's your turn to get in on the fun! Please clearly and concisely answer the following questions: 1. What does the term “human nature" mean to you personally? 2. Do you believe there is such a thing as human nature? a. If yes, why do you believe that it exists? b. If no, why do you believe that it does not exist? 3. Has your position on either of these questions changed as a result of information presented in this class? a. If so, describe how your position has changed, being sure to include any specific factors (e.g., particular experimental evidence) that helped change your position. b. if not, describe what sort of evidence could potentially change your position. Some points to consider and how to structure the essay:

First you should operationalize the term human nature. And then go onto explain why human nature does indeed exist.

Human nature is the innate qualities and chief attributes that humans as a species possesses which mark them separately from the rest of sentient life forms. Human nature, just like any other characteristic for any other animal, does indeed exist.

Human nature is contingent upon a myriad reasons that range from biological functions (which have a huge impact on one's nature) as well as social and societal functions (the latter of which is unique in certain aspects to humans.) all of these combined together create and give shape to human nature. If we are to look at base level, the human nature is similar to most animals and is driven by what we term as animalistic features - so aggression and procreation drives. But due to us having a fairly bigger neo cortical area, we have the capacity of a higher intelligence than other life forms on the planet, which imbue us with the quality of higher reasoning and though that gives us some other qualities in nature, such as the capacity for moral reasoning.
