Answer: Elder abuse has become very common now adays and there is necessity to prevent this kind of act as it is kind of torture for the aged people. The legal requirements includes that :

  • There should be legal action taken against the elder abuse.
  • Patients should be capable of self determination and prevention.
  • There should be regulations to prevent this kind of act.

As people grow old, there are higher risk of abuse. Some of the old people have disease or mental disorder. So, as a human it's our duty to perform better action for them as to help them. We need to make them feel comfortable with the environment. But most of the time people take advantage as old people forget the things, some people chase money from them or abuse verbally etc. Some of the elder people are unable to make their decision or unable to determine the abuse and hence these things can result in to mental trauma or death.
