Health promotion is important to improve the health status of the individuals, families, and the communities by promoting healthy behaviors, educating about positive lifestyle habits, nutrition, and reduce the risk of chronic illness. Health promotion and prevention improves the quality of life of community people and reduces the health care cost of communities. Overall it enhances the health and wellness of the community people.

CDC is one of the federal agency working with the goal of improving the overall health of the public. it continuously monitors health statistics and prevents the outbreak of disease by implementing preventive strategies. CDC controls chronic infectious diseases, injuries, and environmental hazards. It engages with local and state health department to reform the health policies and to improve global health. It also enforces the importance of immunizations to minimize age-specific disorders.

CDC addresses the MDG by Its norms and guidelines. MDG has a standard prevention and treatment program to meet the health-related issues. CDC highlights the factors and risk associated with MDG's and supports them to achieve global health.

CDC addresses the global health challenges along with collaboration and coordination of the World Health Organization. CDC recognizes the surveillance, epidemiology, informatics of the global health problem and WHO initiates the global health program. CDC and WHO strengthens health services worldwide.
