A cell consists of a plasma membrane inside which are a number of orgsnelles suspended in a watery fluid called cystol. Organelles, are small organs have individual and specialized function and are often enclosed in their own membrane within the cytosol. They include the nucleus, mitochondria, ribosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, golgi apparatus, lysosomes, and the cytoskeleton. Each and every cell in the body has a nucleus, with the exception of RBCs. Mitochondria are sausage-shaped structures in the cytoplasm snd is referred to as power house of the cell. Ribosomes are tiny granules composef of RNA and protein. Endoplasmic reticulum is a series of interconnecting membranous csnals in the cytoplasm. The golgi apparatus consists of stacks of closely fllded flattened membranous sacs. Lysosomes are one type of secretory vesicle formed by the golgi apparatus. Cytoskeleton consists of tiny strands of protein.
