Obtaining informed consent is a standard procedure followed from olden days. Health care providers face challenges in obtaining informed consent from people with low health care resources. Lack of resources is the root cause of many problems. It raises clinical issues and lack of community involvement in the health care approach. The signing of Informed consent is the autonomy of individual and every information in the informed consent must be addressed well with clear explanation by the health care provider before signing. It acts as a legal document and ensures the right, safety, risks, and possibility of the outcomes associated with the procedure. It enhances the trust and guidance of people on the health care provider. The nurse has to follow the ethical protocol and policies in obtaining informed consent. In spite of the availability of resources, the health care provider must spend enough time to explain and getting informed consent. Even though health care providers face some challenges, it is necessary for high quality and safe delivery of health care services.
