Answer #1

ANSWER.

1) Calculation of number of tablets required.

         Ordered dose = 0.125 mg.

Available amount of lanoxin tablet = 0.25 mg tablets.

   So

    Number of tablets required = 0.125 / 0.25

= 0.5 (Half of the 0.25mg lanoxin tablet).

2) Calculation of number of tablets required.

         Ordered dose = 2.5 mg.

Available amount of coumadin tablet = 5 mg tablets.

   So

     Number of tablets required = 2.5 / 5

= 0.5 (Half of the coumadin tablet).

3) Calculation of number of tablets required.

          Ordered dose = 650 mg.

Available amount of acetaminophen tablet = 325 mg tablets.

     So

         Number of tablets required = 650 / 325

                                                      = 2 tablets.

4) Calculation of number of tablets required.

          Ordered dose = 500 mg.

Available amount of Carafate tablet = 1 gm (1000mg)

      So

         Number of tablet required = 500 / 1000

= 0.5 (Half of the 1gm Carafate tablet).

5) Calculation of number of tablets required.

           Ordered dose = 1500 mg.

Available amount of Duricef tablet = 1gm (1000mg).

       So

          Number of tablet required = 1500 / 1000

= 1.5 tablets (One and half tablets).

6) Calculation of number of tablets required.

             Ordered dose = 250 mg.

Available amount of Diuril tablet = 250 mg (0.25gm) tablets.

     So

Number of tablets required = 250/250

                                                      = 1 tablet.
