organisational culture is a frame work in which the members behavior takes place the more precise definition of organisational culture is as follows

organisational culture is defined as a set of values , beliefs , norms & assumptions which are shared by the members with in the organisation.

function of the organisation culture -

  • It improves the stability of the social system,-It helps in making balance in the behaviour of the members at the workplace so that the members work in same direction in synergy.
  • It defines the boundaries of the organisation.-It means It makes a distinction between one organisation and the other.
  • It gives commitment to achieve the organisation mission-The organisation enhances the commitment so that the employees at the workplace must contribute to the larger organisation objectives.
  • Organisation culture gives a clarification of standards of the behaviour- This function is to do work in the organisation in a professional way.
  • It gives the members self of identity- a positive culture in the workplace makes an identity of the member such as who you are and your uniqueness therefore it gives everyone a self of identity.

4 Types of Leadership are as follows-

Autocratic Leadership-

This type of leader makes the decisions without the permission and reference from the followers.

It is the Leader which makes alienation and demotivation among the members.

This type of leadership needs a Leader to be of strong decision making quality and quick problem solving skills.

Democratic Leadership

This is the Leadership style in which the members participate more in the decision making process.There is distribution of responsibility to the members and the Leader also participate with the members in the decision making process.

Free rein Leadership or Laissez-faire Leadership

This type of leadership is the leadership style in which the Leader has creative mind, having creative ideas therefore this leadership style can take more time to arrive at a decision. In this type of leadership the leader gives full freedom to their followers take decisions of their own, therefore a good team work is important.

Paternalistic leadership:

In this type of leadership style the Leader becomes more closer to the members as he takes decisions as a Father figure, so he believes in supporting the members needs and expects trust and loyalty from the members
