Our lifestyle factors and changing food habits are the precursors for disease or illness. Humans are biological organisms living along with many other multicellulars and unicellular organisms in the universe.

1. Obesity and respiratory illnesses along with cancer can cause death for me someday. Growing population and unplanned urbanization contribute to deforestation and deterioration of the environment leading to the destruction of quality of life. Air & water pollution leads to diseases of major organ systems in the body. Deforestation and destruction of food chains make the food unfit for consumption.  

Changing food habits like lack of fiber-rich diet, lack of fruits & vegetables, consumption of red meat in daily intake leads to altered digestion. This contributes to heart diseases, digestive problems, lack of essential nutrients in the body and obesity. Poverty and illiteracy also serve as a precursor to diseases and illnesses. All these collectively contribute to cancer. These are diseases or illnesses we are predisposed in the changing world.

2. Risk factors I am concerned with are altered environmental conditions, less physical activity, psychological conditions like stress, sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy food habits, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, smoking, alcohol consumption, etc.

Altered environmental conditions lead to active infections that may be dormant before. Viral and bacterial infections may lead to diseases. Hepatitis, HIV, various cancers pose a threat to the health of humans. Heart diseases and metabolic diseases are caused by less physical activity, sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy food habits.

3. I think to improve the quality of life people must be educated about the needs and necessities of life both for health and healing activities. Good food habits, afforestation, sanitation, increasing physical activities, environmental health collectively can help humans from extinction.

So I need to take steps towards changing the lifestyle factors. Environmental change towards better health should be initiated. The use of artificial fertilizers should be stopped. Organic farming should be encouraged. Tobacco and alcohol consumption should be eradicated. Intake of a balanced diet may decrease diseases and illnesses. Education regarding the safety measures towards the eradication of diseases and illnesses should be given. Immunization should be made mandatory. Thus these are the measures to be taken for changing our lives.
