The possible solutions that would help to eliminate Criminal behavior as the cause of death in the city of Chicago are-
Implement strict drug and alcohol policy-
Alcohol and Drug use by people enhances the criminal behavior. People who takes high drugs and alcohol are more prone to do violence like murder than those who does not take or consume alcohol. When government make strict laws and policies in relation to drug and alcohol then people will show less criminal behavior.
Government can prohibit sell and use of drug and limit the sale and consumption of alcohol in the city.
Government can held liable to those people who sell illegal drugs and alcohol in the city.
Government can put high taxes on alcohol to raise prices so that people think many times to purchase alcohol.
Place and patrol police in hot spot areas-
Police plays very important role in reducing the criminal behavior because they are the actual people who investigate and face crimes in their daily lives. Place police officers in the city where crime rate is very high. Police should be allowed to use disciplinary action against people who show or attempt to show criminal behavior in front of police.
Create community and provide training to community-
Police and government can not do everything. They should take help of people in the community by providing them resources and training to fight back gun violence like crimes in city of chicago.Open training classes trained by government agents or police so that youth as well as old people can learn how to fight and defend. this would demotivate criminal behavior in the streets of city because people who do crime think that people are weak and would not fight back. when community will start to show fight back then crime and criminals will automatically reduce.
Open Intervention programs and centers-
Intervention programs and centers where people who have done crime or likely to do crime must be put under intervention program so that people in the organization can change their behavior. The University of Chicago Crime Lab has done a lot of great work into many different policy proposals to fight crime. One of those ideas, Youth Guidance's Becoming A Man, is emblematic of how specific these policies can get — it targets youth who are at risk of getting into violent encounters, perhaps because of the neighborhood they live in or what school they go to.
