Resume is a summary of education and employment experience.

Important components of a covering letter and resume

Covering letter: Covering letter is a letter or written communication that serves to introduce an accompanying document, especially a letter that introduces a resume or curriculum vitae. It should have 3 sessions mainly;

* Introduction: should include the information regarding how you came to know about the vacancy or the company( advertisement, refferal)

* Body: It is a session that should contain the information that how one candidate is suitable for this job( their strength such as communication skills and qualification as related to particular position)

* closing part: Closing part should indicate the that you are looking forward for the opportunity to work with the company.

A Resume should have the following components to be an effective resume:

1. Basic biographic information ( name, age, e mail id,phone number and address)

2.job objective ( interms of your interest in the designation or type of job according to company's expectation)

3. Summary of profile,  Skills and qualification and job experience

4. Educational qualification( in a chronological order educational qualification fom higher to lower, details of the course , school )

5. reference( contact details of three reference people)

E portfolio( electronic portfolio)

It is a digital collection of CV or resume, educational certificates, professional qualification certificates, licenses, registrations and transcripts. E portfolio will help a candidate to be impressed by employer and it demonstrate ones capabilities in a professional way. Make sure that a projector and computer available there with the employer or take a lap top with you. It should be neat and not mess up with so many details. It should be readable.

* Do a Planning for attending the interview( select the clothings, keep ready the things to carry previous day itself)

* Do research about the company( their mission, vision)

* Be Punctual( make sure that you are reaching their 15- 30 minutes before)

* Answer truthfully,concisely .

*Plan for good questions, if you want to ask to your employer.

* Treat everyone with respect, good body language and manners is must

* Send a personalised letter expressing thankfulness.
