Alcohol is the major problem and burden for most of the countries. Alcohol consumption causes more harm to the lower economic status of people than higher economic status. This patient is in poverty which leads to improper pattern of alcohol consumption which increases health risk. Low economic status also results in poor health outcomes. Lifestyle pattern also increases the risk of cigarette smoking which increases the health risk of hypertension. Alcohol and cocaine abuse leads to false cultural patterns which limit his participation in society and familial responsibility. Alcohol abuse increases absenteeism or leads to unemployment. Usually, the person spends most of the time outside the home which denies the spiritual belief.
Withdrawal from alcohol affects the emotional status of patient. The patient will be in a state of more anxiety and depression. So the nurse has to build trust with the patient. Nurses have to support them emotionally while interacting with the patient. The nurse has to be more specific in asking of questions and in caring for patient condition.
