4.Urinalysis,Microscopy, culture and sensitivity.Blood cultures – should be done for patients with pyelonephritis.

5. Culture and sensitivity confirms E.Coli bacteria. 5-7 of % pregnant women are affected by UTI due to urinary obstruction,hospital acquired or instrumentation.

6. A.Wipe from front to back when urinating and defecating to prevent bacteria being introduced to the v*gina and urethra. B.Avoid scented hygiene sprays, douches and bath products to prevent infection and irritation.   C.Cleanse genital area before and after sex. D.Empty bladder frequently and completely to avoid build up of toxins in the bladder. E.Drink lots of water. F.Wear cotton underwear and avoid tight fitting clothing.
