What is a good Geriatrics PICOT question to use for a research project? A PICOT question is like a research question, but it has to deal with healthcare. The "P" stands for (problem or patient or population, the "I" stands for (intervention), the "C" stands for (comparison), and the "O" stands for (outcome of interest). If you are able to give more than one that would be helpful in choosing one. I just need help brainstorming. I have to make sure it deals with the geriatric population.

   1) A group of bed ridden patient admitted in a geriatric ward (P) how effective is

      implementing position change every 2 hour (I) compared to not changing the

      position(C) to reduce the risk for pressure ulcer(O) during the treatment period (T) ?

2) A malnourished old women admitted in the geriatric ward (P) how effective preparing

    a balanced diet specifically for this patient (I) compared to following patient routine diet

    (C) to regain normal nutritional status (O) during the treatment period (T) ?

3) A group of bed ridden patients admitted in the geriatric ward (P) how effective is providing

    range of motion(ROM) exercises (I) compared to not providing ROM exercises (C) to reduce

    the complications of immobility (O) during the treatment period (T) ?
