1.similarities between hepatitis B and hepatitis C

Both hepatitis B and C are infection affecting the liver by virus and can be transmitted through blood. shows same symptoms and both are treatable.

differences

  • Hepatitis B can be transmitted through blood as well as body fluids, but hepatitis C can only by blood contact like drug use.
  • Hepatitis B has vaccine, however it is not available in case of hepatitis C no vaccination but has effective treatment.
  • vaccines can prevent hepatits B in acute cases but not medically curable in chronic cases. while hepatitis C can cure completely and in some cases cures naturally.

2. common blood-borne infections that raising concerns in occupational health specialist are human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B and hepatitis C. lack of personal protective equipment increases the chance of infection. it can be through needle stick injury or exposure to blood or body fluids while taking care.
