Muscle dysmorphia is a form of mental disorder where the individual thinks that they are extremely thin or skinny besides having a normal musculature.

Similarities

• It is a psychological disorder
• it can affect the function of heart ,liver and kidney
• Treatment at available
• Social problems, poor cognition can occur

Differences

Muscle dysmorphia	alcohol or drug abuse
Weight lifting, excess exercises ,diet Also called as bigorexia May have comorbid condition of substance abuse or overtime progress towards it as addiction Cannot be identified or diagnosed at the earlier stage Depressed state makes them to take the drugs for relief from the thought Have body image disturbances	Consumption of alcohol or uses of drugs It doesn't lead to muscle dysmorphia Can be diagnosed easily Depressed patients again take the drug to get a relief Doesn't have body image disturbances
