  • Transmitted by blood and body fluid contact
  • Both attack liver, some times causing serious liver damage.
  • Both are non curable.

DIFFERENCES

HEPATITIS B

  • Caused by DNA virus
  • Incubation period : 90 days
  • Hepatitis D does co-occur
  • Chronic - 10% chances
  • Vaccination available

HEPATITIS C

  • caused by RNA virus
  • Incubation period : 45 days
  • Hepatitis D doesnot co-occur
  • Chronic - morethan 50% chances
  • No vaccination available
