PROVISION 6: “The nurse, collaborates, establishes, maintains, and improves the ethical environment of the work setting and conditions of employment that are conducive to safe, quality health care.

The nurse must use their compassion, patience, and skills in establishing quality health care. The nurses have to create an environment that supports nurses to work under ethical obligations. The nurse should respect the values, culture, independence, and respect of individuals. The nurse must influence of positive environment to fulfill ethical obligations, policies, and procedures. The nurse must follow standards of care in clinical practice. The nurse involves in teamwork, support of staffs, interacts with other personnel,  and to resolve the issues within the clinical practice. The nurse must participate in the welfare of staffs and providing of high quality of care.

PROVISION 4: The nurse is responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice, determines the appropriate delegation of tasks, and making decisions to provide optimum patient care.

In an emergency situation, the advanced practice nurse has accountability and responsibility to prescribe medication and to treat the patient based on his condition. The nurse must have proper judgments in taking of right decision in the patient care. The nurse must follow ethical principles in treating patients. The nurse must use their accountability within the organization policies and procedures. The nurse must use their maximum knowledge and skills in taking an ethical decision during an ethical dilemma. The nurse must also assign activities to another staff and delegate works to the staff members to fulfill the task and to provide optimum care.
