Stool culture, occult blood, routine analysis for ova and parasites, stool for leukocytes for inflammation, Clostridium difficile testing.
Diagnosis:
Acute bloody diarrhea: It is a gross blood stool that occurs more than three times per day and lasting less than 14 days.
causes for diagnosis:
The patient had bloody diarrhea for the last 2 days and more than 10 bowel movements per day and with severe abdomen pain.
Treatment:
Rehydrate the patient with an intravenous solution and oral rehydration solution.
Antidiarrheal medication like loperamide can reduce the patient diarrhea duration
antibiotic therapy
Probiotics for stimulating the immune system
Zinc supplement decreases the risk of dehydration.
prevention:
Follow proper hygiene in food, water, and environment. regular hand washing, safe and effective vaccination to avoid virus and bacterial infection
