1.)What food groups do the key ingredients of your meal fall into?

2).What other foods could you add to your meal to meet MyPlate? Why? both

Scenarios answer theses questions #1 My favorite meal is Tacos! Who doesnt love tacos right? However after watching my plate, i learned that I am missing food groups, and the food groups I do include do not add up to the amount I should be having of each. I have the protein from whichever meat I choose, dairy from the cheese and sour cream, however both are high in fat. I sometimes use onions and tomatoes, however it is such a small amount that I am not reaching near enough fruits and veggies for the day. The tortilla is good for grains, however if i were to use a whole wheat tortilla I would get the full 2 ounces of grain that I need. The pinto beans that I have with it, do however fit into the vegetables as a half cup is recommended amount. I do not however have any fruit, so I would need to add that to the make the plate more balanced. I would need to eat more fruits, protein to my plate to make it a complete days worth of recommend food groups.

1.The key ingredients of Taco, the traditional Mexican dish fall into different food groups.corn/ wheat tortilla , rolled around the filling is in the food groups of grain. The filling used in taco might be beef, chicken, pork or sea food fall into group of protein but these are not lean protein.Red meat is the rich souce of fats also or vegetables.Fillings are seasoned with oil. Pinto beans , vegetablor onions are in the category of vegetables.but the amount is too low.

2. My plate is a reminder to find your healthy lifestyle and build it through out your life time. We can a variety of food into Tacos, the favourite meal , to keep the standards of My Plate. Instead of meat that contain protein and high fat, fish or sea food can be the filling of Tacos. Along with tacos mixed vegetables salad can used as a side dish. Then the vegetables portion can increase upto 40 %. ( my plate). 10% of fruits need can be meet by a having fruit juice without adding extra sugar after your favourite meal. Fillings can be mixed with baby corn so the grain part can be incresd. A cup of fresh yogurt also advisable to meet the My plate standards.
