Congestive heart failure is a medical condition in which the heart fails to pump the enough blood.

Pathophysiology of the congestive heart failure is based on the renin angiotensin mechanism.

Pathophysiology as below:-

Decreased stroke volume leads to

--> activation of renin angiotensin system

-->angiotensin I

--> angiotensin II

--> peripheral vasoconstriction

--> increased after load

-->decreased cardiac output

-->heart failure

Angiotensin II also causes to release aldosterone

It leads to sodium and water retention causes edema

--> increased plasma volume

-->increased preload

-->increased cardiac work load

-->heart failure
