yes,I have been an advocate many times while practicing in the hospital.i speak behalf of patients at many times when they feel helpless in front of relatives,family members and doctors.i give the information they want .

A nurse act as an advocate 1)when patient need safety.

2)during doctors visits help them understand about the explanations he gives about her treatment and diagnosis.

3) help to improve the quality of life by giving proper advice

4)when patients rights need to be protected be with them.

the above all situations I can act as an advocate to stand to speak and to act for patient.
