In regards to racial discrimination what steps does your new found entity put into place as you initiate your business operations to both protect your interest and further monitor these matters from occuring in the future at your business? As you list your position, do you believe that your company or a company can truly police themselves from this issue of discrimination

In regards to racial discrimination, the steps that I would take for my new business is to protect our interest and further monitor these matters from occurring in the future at your business are:

- Create policies – the job descriptions need to have neutral wording and these need to be reviewed regularly for timely updates.; recruitment and selection should be neutral. The company policy should insist on protecting the employees from racism.

- Diversity in workplace- The company should establish a diverse work culture to avoid racism.

- Equal opportunity employer- provide opportunities for all employees to advance in their career.

- Anti-discrimination policies- must be written with clarity so that the victims know where to address their grievances, how to file a complaint, etc.

- Training at workplace- training to avoid racism should be provided to avoid racism in workplace so that the employees are carful in their approach.

- Grievance Redressal cell- a confidential person should be the contact in this cell. If the complaints raise, then it is time that the company takes steps to avoid such racism and keep monitoring them further to avoid it in the future.

Absolutely. I strongly believe that my company or a company can truly police themselves from this issue of discrimination. If the company’s policies and procedures adhere to the anti-discriminatory laws, then most certainly the company can police themselves from this issue. Additionally, constant monitoring in workplace and adequate system such as Grievance Redressal cell would enable a company to prevent racism in future. Grievance Redressal Cell is a control measure so that the management can analyze if there is any case of racism in the company.
