Answer #1

Other pituitary hormones which don't act on any specific tissues are Oxytocin and Vasopressin or ADH (antidiuretic hormone). They are secreted from the posterior part of pituitary or neurohypophysis.

Function of Oxytocin- 1. Contraction of uterus during child birth, 2. inducing lactation i.e production of milk after the delivery of baby, 3. Plays a role in sperm development and production of testosterone from testes.

Function of vasopressin or ADH- 1. Selective reabsorption of water and electrolytes from kidney tubules, 2.causes vasoconstriction which increases the blood pressure in the arteries.

Hope it helps!!!!
