When we look at the DNA with 4 nucleotide & the DNA with 2 nucleotide, similar bit rates exists in both. But, the 4 nucleotide is two times better at bit packing. In the question of why four nucleic acids are used for DNA, it is because the DNA with 4 nucleotide system has speedy bit rate compared to any other system that make use of more nucleotides.
