What are two of the most effective change management practices a company or institution should use to gain the support of employees in making a major change? What competencies or skills must a leader exhibit to support an organization change? Is there a leadership theory or practice found to be more effective in today's ever-changing environment? If so, what is it and why? If not, why isn't there one more applicable?

Two of the best Change Management Practices are 1. Making the change desirable – This is where the employees understand the need for change. They are aware of the problems prevailing and are in agreement to the need for change. 2. Make Relevant changes and communicate to all levels : The change has to be in alignment with the organizational goals and break down into employee beneficial units. Communication at distinct levels is very important. Higher levels are made aware of the bigger picture impact , and so should be communicated to the lower level employees with their ground of understanding of the better benefits wrt present scenario.

Being a leader, one should exhibit the following skills in an organizational Change:

Clear communication, Collaboration , i.e , bringing people together to plan to execute the change and make employees decision making. Setting of realistic objectives, identify potential players.

One of the most apt leadership practices that’s worth mentioning in today’s ever changing world is being foresighted and dynamic, i.e being able to foresee the changing scenario and be able to adapt to the changes in an effective manner. Flexibility and innovation are two essential ingredients of the a leadership that’s oriented with change dynamics.
