What is the cellular molecular most important points in the NEFL gene?
NEFL gene encodes for the neurofilament light polypeptide subunit which forms type IV intermediate heteropolymers. These heteropolymers are the major component of neural cytoskeleton. NEFL gene has unusual intron-exon organization and has less introns (3 introns). NEFL encodes 62 kDa protein which is most abundant in cytoskeletal component of neural cells. It can associate with neurofilaments of NEFM and NEFH chain polypeptides and form fibrous network in neuron cytoplasm.

Genetic Variation Explain three cellular and /or molecular mechanisms that introduce variation into the gene pool of a plant or animal population.
What is the most important factor that holds a gene pool of a species together and prevents speciation? A. hybridization B. gene flow C. behavioral isolation D. sexual selection E. prezygotic barriers
What direct cellular outcome (s) is/are possible in response to a molecular signal? Check all that apply Activation of a Opening of an ion channel gene Synthesis of a new protein Cell proliferation Change in enzyme activity Submit
2) What is the molecular reason that loss of expression of a single Hox gene due to a mutation typically transforms the segment (or group of segments) into an anterior segmental fate? 3) Discuss the concept of a "molecular address" in the Drosophila cellular blastoderm stage embryo. Be sure to discuss both which genes are involved in setting up the address and which are involved in interpreting the address. 4) Explain the reason (at the level of molecules and regulatory...
(Molecular Biology) Explain what a gene is, and what isoforms are & how a gene can have 2 different isoforms, and further explain how exons can splice together to form the 2 different isoforms.
What are some ways in which exercise could induce cellular / molecular plasticity?
Lactate is an important metabolite in cellular metabolism in health and disease. Its molecular formula is CH3CH(OH)COO-, as seen in the figure below. The scalar coupling between protons A and B in the figure is 7Hz. The chemical shift of one of the proton groups is 4.1ppm and that the other is 1.3ppm. Assuming that the hydroxyl proton (the OH group) does not contribute to the spectrum (fast exchange with H2O protons), draw a schematic spectrum of the lactate ion...
The kinetic molecular theory establishes an important link between macroscopic and microscopic quantities. The most important link is probably between temperature (T) and average kinetic energy of molecules.a. For He gas, compute the average velocity of the atom at the temperature of 25oC.b. If He is replaced by Ar, what will be the corresponding velocity?c. It is known that the velocity of the gas molecules is not uniform, but conform to the MaxwellBoltzmann distribution. Depict graphically the velocity distributions of...
