Explanation: Total heat production is by all other body processes, heat increment is increase in heat production after ingestion of dietery proteins, fats, carbohydrates, etc. , heat of fermentation is heat produced during fermentation, heat of absorption and digestion is heat produced after digestion and absorption is complete. Basal metabolic heat is prooduced during resting state and before anything being ingested.

Explanation: Pepsinogen is a proenzyme, its get converted to active enzyme pepsin which is proteolytic in nature. It is secreted by parietal cells of stomach lining or gastric mucosa.
