Hello there,

We humans become very sensitive when people who are emotionally close to us suffer. It becomes more dreadful when one comes to know that they are dying. In this scenario, communication plays an important role to soothe the patient and help him keep a positive mindset. In my view, following communication demeanour will prove out to be effective :

  • Be a good listener and indulge in a conversation with them.
  • Don't talk about the disease/death/wrong happenings as it will only make them afraid, stressful and worried.
  • Talk to them about the everyday stuffs. It will make them feel normal and a part of your life.
  • Talk about the ailments if they want it to discuss. It will help them lessen their anxiety and build up stress.
  • Indulge in tiny activities with them. This may range from playing ludo or sharing jokes etc.

Hope that helps,
