Social media marketing campaign in current times involves running campaigns and gaining customers using social media sites. Social medium will comprise of social networking websites or Mobile phone based sites and applications. Retail Relay can set up Facebook or media sites and attract customer attention through social media. Suppliers are already using the Retail Relays phone applications to enter product inventory information. So we can provide a strategy for engaging in Social media marketing. Currently with the email promotional material, Retail Relay can use coupons in its email confirmation when an order is placed by a customer to increase retention rates. Customer should be able to click on a link where they can order with the coupon and have a chance of tracking the conversion. Email Transaction marketingi2would be something that Retail Relay can start considering in its strategy and would be the first easy step to get the customers “over the hump” when they make the first order, it will be easier to convert into a second purchase and more. Retail Relay does this now one day prior to the order date to serve as a reminder and also to send special promotional information.

Facebook based social marketing is definitely the next strategy and we can track news, events, suppliers, promotions all in one place. We could also get into display advertising and all the options that Facebook currently offers, where you can run promotional events and cover the realm of Search Engine Marketing( Pay per click, Cost per impression, Search analytics, and perform web analytics)as well. Retail Relay already has a wealth of information on customer ordering patterns and purchase order metrics and uses that in its expansion to target larger audiences. However the costs of SEM can easily run into 100’s if not 1000’s of dollars and we have to weigh the Return On Investment (ROI). Retail Replay has a lot of advertisements from Farmers and handles produce and farm raised poultry, eggs and meat as a major item it delivers. So the Facebook can carry related information and provide farm visits, site updates and personalize the supplier’s information, entering into partnership.

Retail Relay works with Employers in Charlottes ville and promoted the company within its initial years of operations. This can be used however in Mobile and also in Social media company website within employers in different locations it’s trying to expand,for instance Richmond. In this context, Retail Relay can work on Affiliate marketing as their suppliers stores, local vendors and business can be tapped into for increasing the customer base. They can work on advertising costs and more revenue sharing with the suppliers as opposed what they have now which is 15% to the Retail Relay store, if they are able to advertise within the supplier’s base with coupons.
